Although common tools can be used to remove and install bushings, using our custom tools will greatly speed up the process, especially when gap between hubs is limited.

During normal operation, the Spring and Teflon Expanders remain captive and compressed. Upon failure of the Shear Pins the Expanders will spread the two shear rings allowing the head of the Teflon Expander to slide on the Shear Ring face until equipment shutdown, preventing Coupling damage.

The Shear Pin Bushing houses the Shear Pin and in most cases will never require replacement.

Shear Pins are all custom designed to Shear at a specified peak torque.

Setting Clips are provided for Clearance Fit installations to assist in achieving the required gap between the Hubs and floating center piece.

Wave Springs are installed to ensure an equal gap between the Hubs and floating center piece, allowing any residual misalignment to be shared equally by both engagements.

The self-lubricated inside diameter of the bushing provides a very low coefficient of friction for the Pin to slide in and out of, while the Viton coating reduces torsional vibration and electrically isolates the coupling from stray current.

The Limited End Float Pins are used to control the amount of axial float allowed by Electric Motors with sleeve bearings.

Wire Secured Pins ensure that if a pin were to disengage due to vibration, it would not potentially harm any equipment or personnel.

Precision machined barrel shaped pins transmit torque through the coupling and increase misalignment tolerance.
